- What I was doing when the application crashed:
uploading a .zip of image files to  http://docs.google.com, with Dolphin open at the same time.
Restarting rekonq and retrying has the same result

The crash can be reproduced every time.

Closing all applications and retrying with rekonq continues to reproduce the error

Steps to create the .zip are using Dolphin / right click / Compress - as zip archive.  
Creating a new zip with using different files and retrying continues to reproduce the error.

This looks like a duplicate of bug 283967. It was marked as an upstream issue. It's best if you upgrade to kde 4.7.3
