Description Gatoso 2011-11-24 23:10:03 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

Hello all

I am having a rare behaviour with KMail

I have configured two aol accounts, both are incoming accounts using IMAP. When I configured these accounts, KMail created some folders (inbox, spam, trash, etc) for each, including one folder called sent (one sent folder per account). Obviously, inside of those sent folders are located the mails that I have sent through my aol accounts. The point is altough I mark all emails, inside the sent folders, like read, when launch the application or by pressing the button Check Mail some emails inside the named folders are marked like unread. Always are the same emails and the only way I can do KMail recognizes those emails like read is acceding to my aol account across the web and mark, from there, these emails like read.

This behaviour does not occurs inside any other folders, just with the emails inside the sent folders

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Configure an incoming aol account in KMail using IMAP

The sent emails should be marked as unread, so mark them as read by right clic on the sent folder and select Mark All Mails as Read.

Actual Results:
The sent emails are not marked as read

Expected Results:
The sent emails are marked as read

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0-pae
Compiler: gcc

Thanks for reading

2 years on, I'm getting bitten by this same bug on Kubuntu 13.10 amd64. This bug seems like it may be a duplicate of #213404

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
