It is recomended that you upgrade to the latest kde version which is 4.7.3 If you are still encountering this issue feel free to make another bug report which includes a backtrace.
Sending screen captures in an odt file that refer to a file only available on your computer is not very useful. Please attach the screen capture directly as an attachment. Also could you please specify what mail client you were using to read the mail and what type of file you were trying to play? As for the error message you get when trying to install the -dbg file: You can only run one instance of the package manager at a time, this is not KDE related at all.
