Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux Please notice that this issue is, for me, reproducible only with IMAP server we have at work but not with Gmail or other IMAP server I use. But, now it is a real stopper for me because all the sent emails are kept only locally and are not uploaded to the server even if I move them manually to some other folder - in fact it means it is a data loss. It is reliably reproducible on my 2 laptops - at work and at home and different SMTP server makes no difference. It might be related - all the incoming emails in Incoming folder (nowhere else) are doubled (I have them twice); again, this happens only with the IMAP server we have at work, nowhere else. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. have an IMAP server 2. send an email or 1. copy/move sent email to some other folder Actual Results: Email is sent and moved to the Sent folder but only locally, it is not propagated to the server. The error is: Append failed, server replied: A000728 BAD Invalid flag specified If I manually move/copy a sent email to another folder, the error is: Append failed, server replied: A000731 BAD Invalid flag specified Expected Results: Sent emails should be uploaded to the IMAP server. Please, ask me for whatever information, I'm willing to help since currently I cannot use Kmail2 because of this issue. One more note - everything works as expected in Thunderbird. Thanks.

Similar here, Version: 4.6 (kde 4.6.5) OS: OpenSuse 11.4 x86_64 "sent-Mail" configured to be located on the IMAP-Server. KMail 2.1.1 shows the Mail in the "Sent-Mail-Folder", with no hint of any error. But the Mail is never uploaded to the IMAP-Server. Same, if you move the Mail to some other folder The move happens only on the cache but not on the IMAP-Server. I would classify this Bug as critical, as I actually lost data, relying on the (sent)mail being on the IMAP-Server, which wasn't true. Thanks Manfred
Version: 4.6 (kde 4.6.5) both your KDE and KDEPIM versions are obsolete. Please try with recent ones. I've no issue with the 7 imap accounts & identities i've configured
As advised by Christophe please test again with 4.8. If it still fails then I would need extra information, please check and follow the instructions there: http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/Akonadi/Debug_IMAP
> As advised by Christophe please test again with 4.8. Now I have updated my openSUSE 11.4 x86_64 testmachine to kde 4.8.0 from the openSUSE repositories. This bug seems to be fixed, but now kmail crashes within a few seconds :-( I will try to file a new bugreport when I have more specific info. Greetings Manfred
OK, thanks for the headup, marking it as fixed.
I wanted to test it with 4.8.0 but the message bodies are not fetched at all ("Please wait..." for ever) for the affected IMAP account (other IMAP accounts work as expected). Staying with Thunderbird, sorry.
