Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3) OS: Linux Sometimes, i am unable to click certain elements, like a task in the taskbar or the minimize button. In the later case, the icon changes to pressed and stays like that and it does not minimize. (so it receives some input event) Using the keyboard works. After some time, it works again until it happens again. The mouse is a touchpad in a dell e4310. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: unknown, but i hit it by having an open konsole and one or two tabs. Actual Results: unable to use the mouse/touchpad Expected Results: the mouse/touchpad should work. kernel: 3.1.1-2.fc16.x86_64 kdebase.x86_64 6:4.7.3-1.fc16 @updates kdebase-libs.x86_64 6:4.7.3-1.fc16 @updates kdebase-runtime.x86_64 4.7.3-10.fc16 @updates kdebase-runtime-flags.noarch 4.7.3-10.fc16 @updates kdebase-runtime-libs.x86_64 4.7.3-10.fc16 @updates kdebase-workspace.x86_64 4.7.3-12.fc16 @updates kdebase-workspace-libs.x86_64 4.7.3-12.fc16 @updates xorg-x11-drv-intel.x86_64 2.16.0-2.fc16 @koji-override-0/$releasever Using onboard "arrandale" gma. something is in a loop; we need to know: * how to reliably trigger it * what widgets are responsible (if any) for the pausing; once you know how to trigger it, removing the widgets one by one from the panel/desktop until the problem goes away is usually enough
I still could not determine how to reproduce it. I will attach a picture of the desktop as a reference of how it is configured. If you ignore it when it happens and continue working with the keyboard, at some point, those clicks will happen with no warning, all at once. This bug is too old. F16 is long EOL. The issue did not happen in later Fedora's. I am currently on F23/F24. Please close.
Hello! Plasma 4 was replaced by Plasma 5 four years ago by the KDE community. In that time we have made great strides in stability and functionality. We are closing all Plasma 4 bugs as most of them are no longer applicable to the new frameworks Plasma 5 is built upon. If you could, please re-test with the latest version of Plasma 5, and submit a new bug to "plasmashell" if you continue to have an issue. Thank you!
