After logging in to KDE certain applications, such as Firefox, cause the plasma desktop to crash.  If the application is started from a "docked" launcher on the task manager bar, the plasma desktop error is thrown and the application does not start.  If the application is started from the applications launcher, the application will start but the error is still thrown.  Restarting/rebooting fixes the problem.
