Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.1) OS: Linux NVIDIA driver configuration is unable to save configuration to xorg.conf due to dependency problem. Python-gtk2 needs to be installed manually beforehand. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Install NVIDIA drivers from 'Additional Drivers' app. Run nvidia-settings, make changes and/or just try to save. Actual Results: 'NVIDIA driver configuration: Unable to open X config file for writing.' Error box pops up. Expected Results: Save as dialog is displayed followed by password request. File should then be saved. This is a dependency problem for the nvidia-settings*.deb package. Python-gtk2 should be added as a package dependency and installed automatically by package manager.

You're right Christoph. I know this is a distribution related problem and I don't know what I was thinking reporting it directly to KDE. I apologize for my mistake.
