Description Davide Bettio 2011-11-14 13:35:53 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I've found some possible usability improvements for the "move to trash" dialog:

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:

* When removing only files (or directory) use the term "file" (or "directory") instead of the generic term "item".

* When you want to trash an empty directory or an empty file it should tell the user that the directory or the file is empty.
So it should display "Do you really want to move this empty directory to the trash?"

* Don't use a list when removing just one item: display instead an icon with a short description

* Use item icons in the list

* "Do not ask again" checkbox should have a tooltip/contextual help that explains how to enable the dialog again.

What would be the purpose of this? Why does the user need to be reminded that the file or directory is empty?
