Description Kishore 2011-11-14 04:37:54 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

I use disconnected IMAP with GMail. GMail has a "[Gmail]" that contains the other folders such as "sent mail", "trash" etc. but it does not itself contain any mail. However, akonadi thinks it contains 14 mails. The folder properties dialog and the mouse over popup give me the hint with the number 14. When i click on the folder, i have the icon endlessly spinning. This state seems to prevent new mail from showing up too.

Andras Mantia in the on the PIM mailing list thinks that this must be a bug in the IMAP agent or in GMail's imap implementation. In the hope of resolving the bug, i am not recreating the account for now. Please let me know if i can produce any data that can help identitfy the issue. I don't know how it reached this state.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Unknown. I don't know how it got here!

Actual Results:
icon for the [Gmail] folder spins endlessly.

Expected Results:
It should show the folder as empty.

The IMAP resource has a new maintainer, reassigning to him.
