Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: Linux In album view, Digikam does not show Matroska video files (.mkv) nor does it show .thm files (video metadata-files from digital cameras such as CANONs PowerShot and IXUS series). I think this should be implemented. Reproducible: Didn't try Expected Results: Show mkv and thm files just like other image viewers like gwenview.
THM files are just regular JPG files. You can add this extension to the list of displayed filetypes under Settings->Configure Digikam->Mime Types->Additional image file extensions. You can also try it for MKV. Still, making these handled by default is a good idea IMHO. Michael
Actually, .THM files are not only jpeg files. They are metadata files for corresponding .AVI files with the same name. That is, if there is an AVI filed MOV4272.AVI and a .THM file called MOV4272.THM, then the MOV4272.THM contains metadata for the video file MOV4272.AVI. MOV4272.THM contains data such as: - EXIF data about the camera settings - Date and time when the video was shot - Thumbnail preview of a frame from the video It would be useful if digikam could handle this and apply link the metadata to the corresponding video file.
Note .THM are jpeg files. jpeg is image + metadata container. Gilles Caulier
