Description Gerald Pfeifer 2011-11-09 21:47:19 UTC
Version: 1.0.80 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

This is not so much of an issue with only a handful of contacts. In case of
my use in the office, with dozens and dozens of contacts, it is getting very
hard to actually find the one to invite. Having this nicely sorted alphabetically,
(or perhaps leveraging the Groups - Contacts view from the main Contact window)
would address that.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Engage in a chat with someone.
2. Start to invite someone else to that conversation via the "Chat" - "Invite"
   menu.

Actual Results:
Kopete shows a randomly ordered list of all online contacts.

Expected Results:
Kopete shows a sorted (alphabetically) list of all online contacts.

Because simple issues like this were not looked into (let alone fixed) for more than a decade I moved away from Kopete and can no longer provide the required input.

It should be trivial for any user/developer to verify based on my original description?

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
