Description Milian Wolff 2011-11-07 22:23:58 UTC
Version:           Git (master)
OS:                Linux

as you might see I have lots of problems with kmail2's filtering. sadly, I often forget to open the filter log viewer. I'd like it always enabled in the background and just show the ui on demand

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
-> open filter log viewer
-> enable logging
-> restart kmail
-> load some mails through the filter
-> open filter log viewer

Actual Results:
logging is disabled, no log entries are shown

Expected Results:
logging is still enabled (i.e. remember across restart) and I can see the new log entries even though the dialog was hidden at that time

normal we don't save setting so when we reload kmail it's not active.
But we can can log filter even if dialog is close when we activate it.

Yep, that's what I meant: Don't show the filter log dialog on startup. *But* if I enabled logging the last time, keep it active (in the background). If I have it disabled, don't log filters - not even in the background.
