Description Heiner Markert 2011-11-07 19:55:07 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

I am using a kolab server (kolab 2.3.4) with KDE 4.7.3 (this bug however affects all 4.7 releases). When I store a note in kjots with german umlauts, on a first glance everything seems to work. However, after closing kontact and resynchronizing the akonadi resources, or when trying to view the note with another users account on a shared kolab resource, non-ascii characters get transformed into two "wired" characters. These again are non-ascii, and hence they again will not be stored correctly, leading to increasing text size every time the note is stored.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Install kolab server, create shared notes resource.
Connect kontact 4.7.3, create a note with non-ascii characters (affects both note title and body).
Try to read the note on another account with read access to the shared note resource.

Actual Results:
non-ascii characters get corrupted.

Expected Results:
Note should display properly.
