Description Tim Richardson 2011-11-03 22:08:49 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

I use kmail2 with 3 moderately large gmail imap accounts.
At the moment, akonadi_nepomuk_email_feeder uses all my 4GB ram and4.7GB swap. The process dies and then starts again. At the moment I killed a nepomuk process and usability is restored.

I'm also getting nepomuk crashes, but despite installing every debug package I can think of I can't useful backtraces. The bug reporter offers to install the missing debug packages but it does nothing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Start KDE

Expected Results:
this process should not run away and consume all my memory

This is happening again, as soon as I log in. My kde sessions are unusable. I have nepomuk & strigi turned off. I wish I could provide good debugging info, but I don't know how. If someone tells me how I can help, I will. Otherwise I'll delete the kmail accounts.
