Description Axel Krebs 2011-10-29 08:14:13 UTC
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

I support this demand:

If try to change the image format-type (from tif to png and from tif to jpg) in batch-manager, I get an error message. This seems to be due to the fact, that I _only_ want to change the image type.

At the moment I add one single additional "tool" within batch-manager, the file-format converion works properly.

For this reason, I am quite sure, that batch manager dopes _not_ work for _simple_ batch-conversion.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
just start batch manager by right-clicking a pic
in batch manager, select the convert to jpg-tool

DK produces error message

Expected Results:
batch manager (BM) should work in _any_ permutated selection of included tools within BM und witjh any number of pics to deal with.

OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-12-generic-pae
Compiler: gcc

I think the message is an akward translation and the cause of the
problem is that there is not an album assigned where the result will be
placed in.
Am I right?

with pleasure:

ORIGINAL:
"Den unten aufgeführten Warteschlangen sind keine Stapelverarbeitungswerkzeuge zugewiesen. Bitte weisen Sie ihnen Werkzeuge zu."

ENGLISH: free translation (by myself ;-) )
"The below listed queues are not assigned to batch tools. Please assign (batch) tools to queues"

Hope this helps!?

Sound like no tool are assigned to the queue to process items. It's not reproducible here. I use BQM all days.

Can i see the main BQM windows just before to see the error dialog ?

Ah yes, now i understand.

You have 2 queues to process #1 and #2.

#2 has items + tool to apply.
#1 do not have any tool to apply.

You want to play only #2, not #1. Right ?

I wonder if digikam for some reason not recognize the selected album as
such. Could you try it if you select ¨INSTALLATION¨ for example.
just an idea, because I have seen this issue before when none of my
albums were highlighted, a situation that happened before but not can be
reproduced on purpose.

this consideration might be right- I am no quite sure about: I
changed several settings, before I got that message.

But, for my opinion: whatever I did mistake (if at all!): maybe an unambiguous definition (= correlation between programs options and its very reactions) are not cölear enough.

Other may fall in the same gaps (see Rinus Bakker).

I guess, it is a very demanding process to describe program options clearly, truely and completely. So this might be just a textual problem?

This holds true, when choosing settings - raw decoding and reading of three ways to remove mosaic paterns... the program offers ten different ways, already...

Thanx

Git commit 0c8dc8c0cca6611b9579960627a98ce9ad921860 by Gilles Caulier.
Committed on 24/12/2012 at 15:05.
Pushed by cgilles into branch 'master'.

fix queue tools management to support properly only one tool assigned. Index used to cound pending task is wrong here.
So only one tool in queue do not process item fine.
