Description Victor Varvaryuk 2011-10-26 06:40:27 UTC
Version: 2.4.0 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

When i mount a folder using sshfs and user arrow key on keyboard to move the file cursor, it very slow.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Mount a remote folder using sshfs: sshfs user@host: path/to/local/empty/folder
Enter the mounted folder and use up and down keyboard keys to walk over the files in it.

Actual Results:
Looks like the view is refreshed every time the cursor is moved, which over ssh is quite slow

Expected Results:
The same folder in Dolphin is ok - i can walk the files in the folder using arrow keys without any latency.

I failed to reproduce the reported problem using krusader 2.4.0-beta1 and KDS SC 4.8 RC1.

Here is the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7wnI7k6N58

The remote fs was mounted using this command: sshfs user@domain: $DIR/carocean/ -o transform_symlinks

When i entered scrapy folder in Krusader i was constantly pressing Down, in Dolphin i was constantly pressing Right.

You can see that walking over directories in Krusader is slow in comparison to walking over other files.

Can you reproduce this on a newer version? 2.5.0 or at least 2.4.0-beta3.

Thanks.
