Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: FreeBSD This happens after the recent kde upgrade to 4.7.2 "mute" checkbox doesn't do anything (and I have to use other mixer app), before update it worked. This may or may not be related to this PR https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=223460 , since it is also about OSS mixer (capture flag there) and it was recently labeled as "fix pending 4.8". Maybe 4.7 was accidentally touched? Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: n/a Actual Results: n/a Expected Results: n/a n/a
When Mic or PCM are enabled, clicking "mute" actually mutes them but icon doesn't update to the red cross as it should. Clicking again unmutes it.
Curiously enough, when I click the "mute" icon here the slider goes down to 0 and the icon changes, but the sound is not muted at all (with pulseaudio 0.9.21 and phonon-vlc).
It means for you it malfunctions differently. pulseaudio-0.9.22_1 FreeBSD sound driver snd_es137x.ko
I personally backported several lines of code from master to 4.7.2, and they appeared fine. Before investigating further into this issue, please, give me the time to check if it's due to the backport.
At least the problem I described in comment #2 is unrelated, as I run KDE directly from trunk/master.
4.7.3 from FreeBSD ports still has this issue.
Yes, this is a duplicate. And it is definitely only fixed in KDE4.8. Fixing it for KDE4.7 is not possible, the changes are simply way too big. See https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=223460#13 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 223460 ***
