Actual Results: The tray icons aren't hiding and they are colorful (instead of mono). I can't log in to KDE Bug system via KDE Bug reporting tool, only with web browser. I can't acces the 'services' section of KDE settings. There are also some minor effects, I can't remember them all. Expected Results: The kdeinit4 should start with every KDE start.
Details from crash info: Executable file: kdeinit4 PID: 9855 Signal: Segmentation fault (11)

I've just updated to KDE 4.7.3 and am suffering from the same bug. Would love to know if there is a fix. I'll look on the net.
Created attachment 66371 [details] New crash information added by DrKonqi kded4 ($Id$) on KDE Platform 4.7.3 (4.7.3) "release 10" using Qt 4.7.4 - What I was doing when the application crashed: Logging in/starting KDE After removing network manager (NetworkManager-kde4-libs-0.9.1git20111027-1.1.2.x86_64), I was able to start kded4 again (which also was necessary to report the bug ...) Oh, it seems it was a version conflict in my case ... "broken" NetworkManager-kde4-libs-0.9.1git20111027-1.1.2.x86_64 was from opensuse main repository (probably KDE 4.7.2), while NetworkManager-kde4-libs-0.9.1git20110911-2.1.x86_64 (from KDE:/Release:/47/openSUSE_12.1) works with the other packages from 4.7.3, even though older in itself. Maybe this information helps someone else as well. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #6 0x00007fc27939c1c8 in Solid::Control::NetworkManagerNm09Private::networkInterfaces (this=0x8cd380) at /usr/src/debug/networkmanagement/solidcontrolfuture/libs/solid/control/networkmanager.cpp:113 #7 0x00007fc27939c621 in Solid::Control::NetworkManagerNm09::networkInterfaces () at /usr/src/debug/networkmanagement/solidcontrolfuture/libs/solid/control/networkmanager.cpp:120 #8 0x00007fc279841314 in ConnectionUsageMonitor::ConnectionUsageMonitor (this=0x92fce0, connectionList=<optimized out>, activatableList=0x92fe20, parent=<optimized out>) at /usr/src/debug/networkmanagement/libs/service/connectionusagemonitor.cpp:55 #9 0x00007fc279cda57f in NetworkManagementService::NetworkManagementService (this=0x8cae50, parent=<optimized out>) at /usr/src/debug/networkmanagement/kded/service.cpp:93 #10 0x00007fc279cda8e7 in KPluginFactory::createInstance<NetworkManagementService, QObject> (parentWidget=<optimized out>, parent=<optimized out>, args=...) at /usr/include/kpluginfactory.h:477
