2. Open playlist file (*.m3u, 2000+ tracks stored on ntfs, using ntfs-3g)
3. Tap something into playlist search

The crash can be reproduced every time.

I think the problem isn't in taglib.
When the files were not added to collection (were not in collection folder) everything worked well, except cover fetching (amarok did not showed them at all).

And when I added files to collection the covers started to fetch, and amarok started to fail(when searching or managing covers).

Also, I've noticed that even after excluding folder from collection, covers are fetched from built-in mySQL database and Amarok also crashes.

Did you compare the backtrace? This is definitely the same crash, and it is already solved in taglib.
