Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: MS Windows when opening a new session, the kate main window is minimalized & maximizes again to the correct size - the resizing is slow & not needed though. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: open a new session Actual Results: the main window resizes Expected Results: only the main window contents is repainted This could be a windows only bug, so if you can't confirm this under Linux, maybe you can still give me an idea where to search for these issues.
I think you could look at kate.git kate/app/katemainwindow.cpp There is some code to handle window sizes on creation, perhaps that doesn't work out on win, on linux it works OK.
Need your help on this, no core Kate dev uses Windows :/
