keyboard shortcuts in Russian layout to go to the menu bar does not work, (Alt + first letter of a menu item). in non-localized applications, the transition to the menu bar works fine.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
in an application localized into Russian press Alt + first (underlined) letter of the menu item. transition does not occur.

Actual Results:  
nothing

Expected Results:  
transition to the menu bar

Does it work with pure Qt applications, such as smplayer or VLC?

The bug exists in qtconfig and qtcreator. openSUSE 11.4, KDE 4.7.2, Qt 4.7.4.

with VLC and SMplayer the same bug

This bug is a regression, since under KDE3/Qt3 all works OK.

Shortcut handling for the menu bar is done by Qt classes. Please report to Qt developers at Nokia via https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa

The3re are proposed patches in the upstream bugreport - do they work?
