Description Ralf Jung 2011-10-19 20:58:25 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

Logging out of KDE (tried 4.6.5 from Debian unstable repositories and 4.7.2 compiled myself) fails if no phonon backend is present.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Make sure no phonon backend is installed (i.e., only the null plugin). Then login, and try to log out (or shutdown or reboot).

Actual Results:
The confirmation dialogue appears, but after confirming it, it closes and nothing else happens.

Expected Results:
KDE should logout properly, even if it can not play the logout sound.

My system does not even have speakers attached to it usually...
