Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: Linux When "only show task from current desktop/activity" options are activated, the switching between desktops does not update the program icons in the Taskmanager. Switching back and forth will eventually update the icons. Problem appeared in 4.7.0 and is still in 4.7.2 Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: It happens in 50% of the cases. Actual Results: the Taskmanager keeps the program icons of the previous desktop. Expected Results: the Taskmanager icons should update the icons on desktop switch
Confirmed this bug: KDE Version : 4.8 OS: Linux (Archlinux x86_64) I was able to reproduce this in a semi-consistent way following these steps: 1. Open any application on desktop 1 2. Open a different application on desktop 2 3. Move back to desktop 1 and resize the window 4. Switch back to desktop 2 just after you resized the window on desktop 1 5. Switch again to desktop 1 If you can't reproduce try from steps 3 to 5 a few times and you should be able to reproduce this problem
Same here, KDE 4.8.2, Archlinux 64bit. When changing between virtual desktops, one or two windows from the previous desktop (not all the windows), will show up in the taskmanager on the new desktop. They don't disappear until i click on them, even if i changes to different desktops. When clicking on the windows in the taskmanager, it changes to the desktop where the windows is located and i have to move back again to the desktop i was previously. This is really annoying and it happens almost every time i change virtual desktop. I think this started to happen after Bug 275469 was fixed.
Thank you for your report. The taskbar applet has been completely rewritten for KDE Workspaces 4.11 I cannot reproduce this bug with the new applet. Note that launchers always persist when switching desktops. (Right click on the entry, see if you see "remove this launcher") Please reopen this bug if you encounter this in 4.11 onwards.
