Description Fri13 2011-10-16 18:24:24 UTC
Version: 2.2.0 (using KDE 4.7.2)
OS: Linux

Import menu+window > Import sidepanel

The Import sidepanel would include functions from "Import" menu. Ordered as in most used functions. First one "Devices" group includes a camera dropdown list, the memorycard reader, the external drive. Then there would be the "online services" group (currently without icons) and as last, the "other" import places, from files or folders, remote computer and scanner (if you use scanner a lot like doing a scan work, you can access fast way to scanner, as it would be top one). The options are in mockup as a dropdown lists to give a permament UI layout what woulf work on Netbook or 24" monitors.

But the UI could be such that it adds the entries of devices dynamically when they are attached to computer. So user would not see options what are not available. If user does not have a camera or card reader connected

Reproducible: Didn't try

Expected Results:
Having import/export functionality in sidepanels in logick of "from left to IN, from right to OUT"
