Version: 0.2 (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: Linux Muon doesn't use proxy setings from systemsettings, but KPackageKit does. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Set proxy settings in systemsettings. 2.Try muon to get updates or install new software or smth. like that. Actual Results: If proxy is the only way to reach repository, the you will be unable to get new software or get updates. Expected Results: I've expected to be able to get software or(and) updates. OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0.0-12-generic Compiler: gcc
same issue here running ubuntu 10.11 kde 4.7.2
Same problem. Makes kubuntu completly unusable at work.
Experiencing the same issue here, this is preventing me from using kubuntu in a corporate environment using a proxy for internet access.
I see the same issue. I have developed a workaround that works for simple proxies: I add "export http_proxy=http://<proxy_host>:<proxy_port> ;" in front of the command in the KDE Menu Editor entry for Muon Package Manager. This works for manual updates. I haven't investigated the automatic notification/update method and how to apply the workaround there.

I have checked that in KUbuntu 12.10 doesn't work. I'm using Muon Version 1.4.1. Any workaround please?
I have tried to use this PPA: ppa:echidnaman/qapt, but no luck.
It does not work on Kubuntu 15.04, Muon Versión 5.2.2
