Description incarus6 2011-10-14 13:24:08 UTC
Version: 1.2.1 (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

I used to search for updates by kmenu > 'Computer' > package-manager.
This doesn't work any more after I upgraded to Kubuntu 11.10 (they decided to switch to muon instead of kpackagekit) because on the same menu is now muon-installer which doesn't have an integrated update feature (instead of muon itself).
Muon-installer is missing an update-feature or at least an update-button to easily switch to muon-updater.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Goto kmenu > 'Computer' > Muon (in Kubuntu, or just run muon-installer)

Actual Results:
I have to search in the overloaded 'system' category instead of installing updates with only 3 clicks over the kemnu category 'Computer'. That makes the manual update process much more complicated.

Expected Results:
Muon-installer needs at least an update button

I think new muon-updater should solve the issue.
