Description Philip Muškovac 2011-10-11 19:29:48 UTC
Version: 1.6.0 (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

After a fresh install of kubuntu oneiric I get a warning notification with:

Local Folders: Maildir '' for collection '' is invalid.

Probably doesn't break anything but is confusing for users.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Happened in the iso test of http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/result/6970/53

Expected Results:
There should've been no message, as there was nothing configured yet that akonadi could've used.

Did another install, this time it showed the maildir warning *and*

AkoNotes: Error opening ; this folder is missing.

This also happens on creating new (sub)folders in kmail2. I've seen this with local maildir storage. After creating a new folder in kmail, I can't access the folder. Instead I get the error message: Local Folders: Maildir '' for collection '' is invalid.

The folder is correctly created in the filesystem. I'm also able to move mails in kmail to this folder, but they are lost then. A workaround was to remove the folder in kmail after creating it and than recreate it. After removing it in kmail it wasn't removed in the filesystem. When recreating the folder in kmail I was able to use it normaly.

forgotten: I've tested this with akonadi-server-1.6.2 and the latest git.

Confirmed with kde 4.8

kdepimlibs commit a9da6ca4d9823b39a81302cb1253339a3066157f fixes the cause for this.
