Description Radek Novacek 2011-10-10 08:58:21 UTC
Version: 2.0.2
OS: Linux

DISCLAIMER: This bug was reported to Fedora project's bugzilla by Tom Horsley. See downstream bugzilla for details: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=742719

Tried to use k3b to burn some movie files to a blu-ray data disk. With the
blank media in the drive, it tells me I have 3.1 TB available, which makes it
hard to know when you've tried to put too many files on the media. In fact,
the media is Verbatim BD-R 25 GB 6x media.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
see above

Actual Results:
Wacko size info.

Expected Results:
It should know the media is 25GB.

If I bring up the screen with media info, it appears to have the right
information, so it seems like something is going bad in the arithmetic
on the way to the GUI.

The drive I'm using is an LG: BD-RE WH12LS30
Comment 1 Tom Horsley 2011-10-10 10:19:25 UTC
That comment about the media info screen being right is actually wrong. I misremembered what I had seen when I was entering the bug. The info is wrong on the media info screen as well, and some hacks I tried to the source produced a better number (details in redhat bugzilla).
