Description harry 2011-10-09 00:40:18 UTC
Version: 2.2.0 (using KDE 4.7.1)
OS: Linux

Whenever I open digikam the splash screen loads and then it crashes.

I'm running ubuntu 11.04 with Gnome 3 on an intel i7 with 6GB of RAM

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. run digikam

Actual Results:
When running from the command line:
xxx@HJED-PC:~$ digikam
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in use, all queries will cease to work.
digikam: symbol lookup error: digikam: undefined symbol: _ZN11KExiv2Iface14AltLangStrEdit15setLinesVisibleEj

Otherwise it just crashes half way through the splash screen

Expected Results:
Digikam should open

Check with your distro why they fail to pull-in the needed version of the libraries for digikam. It's a distro (downstream) issue and not a digikam bug.
