Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.5) OS: Linux Keyboard shortcuts for various applications are inconsistent for eg; for changing tabs in dolphin, kate, yakuake & kopete. Dolphin - Ctrl + tab, Ctrl + shift + tab Kopete - Ctrl + ], Ctrl + [ Yakuake - Shift + left, shift + right Kate - Alt + left, Alt + right The standard across most applications with tabs has generally (on both windows and gnome) been Ctrl+tab and Ctrl+shift+tab, or Ctrl+PgUP and Ctrl+PgDn. When I first started using KDE few months back, I had lot of trouble with learning the new shortcuts and I assume it'd be same with a lot of other users too. I also know I can change the shortcut keys to suit my needs but shouldn't the default shortcut keys be the one being used across most applications? Then whoever needs a different-from-standard shortcut keys, can change it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Try shortcut keys on the applications mentioned Actual Results: Different shortcut keys for different applications Expected Results: Consistent shortcut keys should be used for same function across different applications.
