After closing some windows the remaining entries in the window strip often don't regain the available space (eg having three lines of window entries, closing so many windows that the remaining four entries were to fit in one line - but those four entries keep being loosely scattered all over the strip, all sized to fit a three line display).

So I tried to drag a window entry to a different place on the strip, hoping that might trigger some sort of rearranging routine - but instead it triggered the reported crash. ;)

plasma-desktop (0.4) on KDE Platform 4.7.1 (4.7.1) using Qt 4.7.2

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

i noticed that i can sort entries in the task manager widget manually. so i chose that. and then tried to move the entry for a window to another place, and the crash happened. 

it's not really recurring, as i am writing this now, i can move entries around, and nothing is crashing. so not sure what happened earlier, hopefully, the backtrace might be useful to see why.
