Description Cristian Tibirna 2011-10-05 22:06:09 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Something has to have gone bad in my last migration of akonadi to 4.7, since no calendar ressource was added.

In these conditions, I received an e-mail containing a calendar invitation (and .ics file). Once this message was visualized (no other action taken), when trying to see any other message (by clicking on its item in the message list), kmail2 gets stuck and doesn't allow seeing anything in the message view panel up until the next akonadi restart.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- remove or deactivate ics (calendar) ressource in akonadi
- view a message containing an .ics attachment in kmail2
- try to view any other message

Actual Results:
kmail2 gets stuck on the message selected next to the one containing an .ics attachment.

Expected Results:
kmail2 should display the message selected next to one containing an ics attachment.

Do you have info in konsole ?
Perhaps a error message etc ?

Not something that would have catched my attention. I saw messages of retrieving items from akonadi, waiting for them for a while (with message "wait for item...") and then declaring success. But nothing related to missing calendar or incorrect akonadi config.

I must create an other instance of kmail to test it :) I will not remove my kolab account for testing it :)

fixed in 4.8 or 4.7 branch
