Description Daniele E. Domenichelli 2011-09-24 20:33:13 UTC
Quassel and probably other IRC clients show notifications to the user for "highlighted messages" i.e. when one of his nicknames (or other particular words or regexp) are found in a message received.

This is probably not useful in one to one chat, but it would be really cool if we could have something similar for multi user chats.
Comment 1 David Edmundson 2011-09-24 20:40:12 UTC
It already exists for when your nickname is called.
Comment 2 Daniele E. Domenichelli 2011-09-25 08:35:41 UTC
It doesn't work for me, I get a notification for every message received in a multi user chat.
Moreover, in quassel, the message is "highlighted" in orange, and this makes very easy scrolling the backlog to find the interesting parts...
