Description Javier Llorente 2011-09-23 15:42:30 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

You have to tap twice on a text field in order to get the virtual keyboard.
Tested on 2011-09-21-16-36-meego-plasma-contour-in-progress-usb-live + today's
latest bits.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the application launcher (for instance) and try to get the virtual keyboard.

Expected Results:
Tapping once should be enough to get the virtual keyboard.

things to check:

a) that the kde-workspace package is actually up to date
b) that the oxygen style is actually in use - this can be shecked by typing "style" into the launcher search and opening the style control panel that subsequently shows up

Here's the info you requested :-)

a) kde-workspace-4.7.2~git20110926.094515-14.1
b) Oxygen style is being used.

this bug is still valid under MeeGo
Comment 4 Cody 2011-10-01 06:27:22 UTC
I can confirm that this two tap action is still required to bring up the virtual keyboard when wanting to enter text into a search box.

Using Opensuse + PA repo with latest updates.
