Description Javier Llorente 2011-09-23 15:09:09 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

"Useless" apps are displayed in the application launcher (ie: "Settings" with no icon).
Tested on 2011-09-21-16-36-meego-plasma-contour-in-progress-usb-live + today's latest bits.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the application launcher
2. Observe the display

Expected Results:
"Useless" apps shouldn't be displayed on the application launcher

define what you mean by "useless" -> they don't launch, they don't have an icon, they don't provide a compelling feature / reason to be in the launcher?

Ideally, give us the name of the .desktop file belonging to this app, then we can blacklist it.
Comment 3 Javier Llorente 2011-09-27 14:20:32 UTC
The following ones don't provide a compelling reason to be in the launcher IMO :-)

/usr/share/applications/meego-ux-settings.desktop
/usr/share/applications/kde4/nepomukcontroller.desktop
/usr/share/applications/kde4/nepomukbackup.desktop
/usr/share/applications/meego-xterm.desktop (there's already Konsole)
