Version: 2.7.1 (using KDE 4.7.1) OS: Linux At present there is option to close tab by: 1) Right click the tab and choose close tab option 2) Use a close tab button which is kept at far right corner of the row containing tabs. Instead it should be shown on each tab like in chrome, firefox. etc. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1) Open konsole. 2 )Open multiple tabs 3 )try to close tabs 4 )there is no close tab button, a)u will need to right click tab and choose the option to close, OR b)enable close button from settings. But the button sits at far right eng of the tab bar so it not that useful. Actual Results: It is 'difficult'(may be subjecctive) to find a option to close. Expected Results: Each tab should have its own close button similar ro firefox or chrome OS: Linux (i686) release 3.0-ARCH Compiler: gcc
Well, I am always confused why some users want that 'close' button on each tab. Webpages and terminal processes are quite different. Closing a terminal process by accident often cause loss to users. Please refer to comment #2 in bug #234756 for more details, especially the fact that gnome-terminal users has been requesting in the opposite direction: removing that close button from each tab. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 234756 ***
