Description Tony Browning 2011-09-20 01:16:22 UTC
Version: 4.6.5 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

I already have and use the free Adobe Flash Player 10,3,183,7 version installed and it works with all my other browser's except this one. I have tried installing the tar.gz, yum, rpm, apt, files, all of them but Konqueror browser will not recognize any of them. I use Fedora 14 Linux. And I never view a free Shockwave Player for Linux.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
I already have and use the free Adobe Flash Player 10,3,183,7 version installed and it works with all my other browser's except this one. I have tried installing the tar.gz, yum, rpm, apt, files, all of them but Konqueror browser will not recognize any of them. I use Fedora 14 Linux. And I never view a free Shockwave Player for Linux.

Expected Results:
Installed to a KDE file enabling to play video's or with http://paltalk.com/ or http://express.paltalk.com or http://paltalk.com/express .

I use and have, konqueror, galeon, firefox, arora, epiphany, rekong, seamonkey, and google chrome browsers all on my desktop but just konqueror never recognizes any flash player.

Every time I visit the 1st above adobe site URL a pop-up reads,"Missing Plugin-Konqueror. No plugin found for Shockwave Flash file'. Do you want to download one from www.adobe.com? And of course I click Download. Thats when Adobe takes me to the 2nd site URL mentioned above. No matter which one I download, none works because adobe repeats the same message everytime I visit their site..

Sounds like Konqueror doesn't recognise newer versions of Flash Player. Flash Player 10.3.x and Flash Player 11 aren't recognised in the external modules configuration menu. As a result, Konqueror acts as if it's not there at all.
