Version: 2.4-snapshots (using Devel) OS: Linux hi i'm on xubuntu 11.04 i had install and install all packages, changed all the fixed bug as told on forums=> general help , installed the gt4 server-xorg-core upadted (...) but now evrything is ok... But when i'm selecting the paint brush, the first time it's running, after that, i will select another tool and coming back to paint brush it doesn't want to do anything at all... my laptop is a latitude-dell, if it can help... ?! thank you. nb:i had try to reinstall a few times Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: click on paint brush tool box (it's ok to run), select another one, come back to paint brush it's no ! Actual Results: i can't paint anything as it's unselected but the screen tell me it is selected. Expected Results: painting !! Thanks for your report. I can't reproduce the bug. What other tool did you use? Did you do something with that tool?

The calligraphy tool does insert a vector shape, which means there also will be a shape layer. You can't paint on shape layer. Check if a new layer was created and switch back to the paint layer.

thank you sven, you can close this topic, it's not a bug if i understand, it's my ignorance that's make me look like a stupid... sorry for the time you spent on that... please hide this bug report, i'm feeling really stupid...
