Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.1) OS: Linux Mail services still fetch pop3 accounts' messages when kmail is closed. It is *very* unhandy. I can present plenty of use cases when such behavior is awful. But it is sufficient the only, I think (everybody can construct owns ones :-)). Say, I have stayed KDE running for this or that reason (for example, to give strigi a chance to finish indexing of newly added 2TB HDD), and am traveling to another place with netbook to receive very important message I'm waiting for. During my traveling I try to get this important message, but it is already got by workstation stayed turn on to finish strigi indexing. P.S. Is there a workaround to temporary resolve the issue? I mean staying with pop3 and deleting messages from server - just to automatically suspend akonadi_pop3 activity (or who is responsible for fetching). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Start KDE with KMail, close KMail. Actual Results: After KMail closing messages are still fetching from pop3 accounts Expected Results: After KMail closing messages fetching from pop3 accounts must be suspended
You can specify to shutdown account in kmail->configuration->account => you have a menu to define if you want to shutdown it when we close kmail. Regards
