Created attachment 63536 [details] Places icon visible in location bar Version: 1.7 (using KDE 4.7.1) OS: Linux Hello, After the recent minimalisation of ui in dolphin there is not always an places-shortcut-icon in the location bar. The icon is only shown when the places panel is not opened or it's invissible (docked). I don't prefer this behaviour, but ok. Now when I hide the places panel, and open a new tab the icon is not visible on the second tab only the first tab. In this case the places shortcuts are not visible any where in the ui. I hope my screenshots make clear what I mean. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Always Expected Results: Icon should always shown on location bar

This is working for me as of KDE 4.9. If you can still reproduce the bug please provide specific steps to do so.
This is partial working in 4.9, dolphin 2.1. When there is only 1 tab the icon is shown, when I open a new tab the icon get hidden on that tab. After opening a new tab and switching to the places bar the icon now appears and stays there all the time, on both tabs. Also when switching back to the directory tree the icon stays.
I cannot reproduce this given your description. Please give a specific, click-by-click description of how to reproduce the bug.
This issue should have disappeared thanks to the redesign of Dolphin for Qt5.
