Description Ignaz Forster 2011-09-07 16:23:22 UTC
Version:           2.0.2 (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS:                Linux

Several of the special characters (n, c, A, T, C, d) cannot be used for conditional statements in the CD ripping dialog, both in the file name and playlist name fields.

Example: "@A{%A - }" should display the album artist only if the field is set. Instead only %A is replaced, the other characters become part of the file name.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to rip an Audio CD and use the pattern above in one of the two file pattern text fields.

Actual Results:
The characters which should be used for the conditional statement are not replaced and also have no effect for the conditional statements.

Expected Results:
The characters should be detected and used for evaluation of the expression.

Same problem here!
Comment 2 Julien Lorentz 2011-12-12 19:31:59 UTC
Also it might be nice to be able to use the disc number tag.

Dear Bug Submitter,

This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond.

Comment 4 Ignaz Forster 2018-11-12 20:07:32 UTC
Yes, this still occurs with K3b 17.12.3.

Simplest example: Using
  @a{test}
as a file pattern will work (naming all files "test.ogg"), while
  @A{test}
won't expand and name all files "@A{test}.ogg". This bug is especially annoying as even some of the examples from the pop up dialog won't work.
