korganizer 4.8.0 kubuntu 11.10
Thank you. But are you sure that you use KOrganizer 4.8? You reported this in September and KDE 4.8 was only released in January. Could you copy-paste the contents of the About KOrganizer window? Also, please provide the output of $ dpkg -l korganizer oneiric (kde): calendar and personal organizer 4:4.7.2+git111007-0ubuntu1: amd64 i386
$ dpkg -l korganizer dpkg: warning: failed to open configuration file '/etc/dpkg/dpkg.cfg.d/multiarch' for reading: Permission denied Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-================-================-================================================ ii korganizer 4:4.8.1a-0ubuntu calendar and personal organizer KOrganizer Version 4.8.0- () Using KDE Development Platform 4.8.1 (4.8.1
Thanks. Hum, are you sure that you are simply running Ubuntu 11.10? Do you know which version you were using when you first experienced the bug? And most importantly, do you still experience this problem?
I am using kubuntu. I first encountered this problem in 4.7 kubuntu when i first tried korganizer. I am still encountering this problem.
I don't think we have this "no calendars found dialog" any more. There's something wrong with your version. Can you send me a screen-shot of the error and the event editor too ? Reopen with print-screens please.
"There's something wrong with your version." No, this happened all the time in 4.8, and was easily reproducible on new kubuntu 12.04 installations "Can you send me a screen-shot of the error and the event editor too ?" I don't have 4.8 installed any more, so I can't get a screen shot of it.
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of korganizer (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
