Version:           2.4.3 (using KDE 4.7.0) 
OS:                Linux

When the lyrics of a song are retrieved, the song details notification is displayed. If the connection is slow, the lyrics take a few seconds to download, and this makes two identical notifications appear for every new song. I see no reason why the notification should be displayed when retrieving lyrics.

Indeed, this was fixed in 2.8
