Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux not sure, if it is done intentionally, but `next message' and `previous message' wrap around: `next message' on the last message selects the first message (likewise for `previous message'). this is different than with kmail1 and i prefer the old behavior because i can just press `left' to quickly skip through mails without worrying if i return to an old mail (iirc this is the behavior of any other email client that i have ever used) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: select last message of a folder Actual Results: `next message' on last message of a folder selects first message Expected Results: `next message' on last message should have no effect
If you would like to use one key to visit all new mails then use the "+" or "-" keys to navigate, they select the next and previous unread message. The exact behavior can be selected using the settings under "Misc -> Folders".
i do not only want to navigate *new*, but *all* mails.
Why is this marked as invalid? The described behaviour is a real annoyance and there is no configuration option available to stop it.
mara, i think you have to file a new bug report as closed reports usually do not get any attention
reopening. i'd ask the devs to re-think this behavior, as it is quite an annoyance for people who are used to the behavior that was implemented in kmail1 as well as in all other email clients that i know of.
