Description Simon Oosthoek 2011-08-25 11:30:55 UTC
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

I was trying out and using (very useful feature!) the find duplicates function, but in albums where I have lots of .ARW and .JPG files for the same photo (I shoot RAW+JPG in most cases), Find Duplicates matches all photos.

I'm sure there are cases where matches between the RAW and JPG versions of the same photo should be found, but I think this should be off by default. I mean there should be a toggle or switch to let digikam ignore duplicates which have the same basename, but a different extension (like .ARW and .JPG in my case, but there are lots of combinations possible regarding RAW file extensions).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
do "find duplicates" search in albums with RAW+JPG combinations (especially when having shot with the camera in RAW+JPG mode)

Actual Results:
all images are found, since every photo has a "duplicate"

Expected Results:
I'd like to _not_ find the images that are the result of the camera making two files for one photo.
