Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux Once the internet is gone or any other problem exists akonadi will pop up with such a message. Every time it checks for mail... so for 5 accounts and a 5min interval, that were 60 per hour just for mails! After my vacation I had some thousands open, making X pretty much frozen. The mouse reacted like a minute after the movement... I then restarted X. So, one message is enough, new messages only, when the first one is closed (but dont queue them, so I have to click through every...) Or "edit" the error messsage to display "This message repeated x times." but disable this flooding, please! Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Use akonadi and make a resource unavailable for some time. Actual Results: Desktop is flooded with messages. Expected Results: One dialog tells me something is wrong (since when? how often did it occure?)
This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
