For PNG-Images I configured the behaviour that an extern viewer should be taken. If in a web page is a link to an image a dialog opens and ask to view with my extern viewer (or to download). But is the link in the web page is one to open an new window with the image url then a blank konqueror window will come up and then the asking dialog appear e.g.
<a href="url/to/image.png" target="_blank">...
The blank window is unnecessary.
