Description Pavel Baranchikov 2011-08-17 06:15:11 UTC
Version: 4.7 pre (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

The Kolab data (stored in IMAP folders) is not shown for now in the address book and calendar. This became broken after KDE 4.7.0 installed (with new KDE PIM packages).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Kolab address book in your IMAP folder using old KDE (4.6.x) with old KDE PIM (4.4).
2. Add the IMAP resource to new KDE PIM installation.
3. Try to see the IMAP-folder stored addressbook entries.

Actual Results:
No address book entries are visible. None can be created. In the new mail message dialog, there is no hint and combobox with e-mail list.

Expected Results:
The data should appear in the KAddressbook component, at least.

Also, the problem concerns the Calendar component.
I use localized KDE, so folder names can differ from English-version.

The Kolab Resource is required for groupware functionality. You need to configure it to use the right imap resource as well. Alternatively you can use the "accountwizard" to setup a kolab account.

This resource have been created, of course. But my Kolab resources have not appeared.

Please reopen if the problem is still present in a recent version (>= 4.10)

I confirm, the issue is still present in KDE 4.5.10. Please, note that problem occurs on localized Akonadi. For me it is Russian. Bu I know, also, Spanish localization have similar problems.
For now, there is not way to add addressbook from Kolab resource (Kolab groupware server is added already to Akonadi agents)
