Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux I am using disconnected IMAP with Kontact and am mobile with the laptop quite a lot. When I move outside the office I have to change the address of the mail server which has never caused any problems with kmail until now. Now, whenever I change the IP address, I get an error message from Akonadi about the folders not being available and the cache is cleared completely and re-loaded. This isn't an issue in the office, but off site it certainly is. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open the options page and change the server ip address or host name. Actual Results: Arkonadi error message about missing folders, then the cache clears. I have to restart Kontact to see any folders and then they are all empty and reload from scratch. Expected Results: Nothing happens.
The IMAP resource has a new maintainer, reassigning to him.
Currently the host address is used as unique identifier, as I'm not aware of a unique identifier of the imap server itself. If there is one available we could use it instead, otherwise this will not be fixed.
