Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux Shotwell is a digital photo organizer that runs on Linux. It is the default photo manager in Ubuntu 11.04 and Fedora 15. It has an "event view" which automatically clumps photos taken with similar timestamps. This is a really great feature and a fantastic way to browse a photo collection. Digikam has calendar and timeline views which, while good, are not as impressive as the way Shotwell automatically clumps files based on timestamp. I would love to see this view type implemented in Digikam, which aside from this, is much more fully featured application than the fledgling Shotwell. The Shotwell source is at git://yorba.org/shotwell Reproducible: Always Expected Results: "Events" as a view alongside albums, calendar, tags, timeine...
Can you take a screenshot of shotwell in action, please... Gilles Caulier
I went to make a screencast of Shotwell in action and, in doing so, found out that it wasn't as clever as I initally thought it was! Apologies for the noise.
